Paula Carrington,29,is a mother of two girls by day and avid paranormal investigator by night.She has been intrigued by the paranormal since the young age of 11 when she encountered her first apparition.She then began her search for answers.Instead of comics or teen magazine she was reading college level books on parapsychology and even demonology.Sneaking off with a flashlight and a cheap 35 mm camera to the cemetery down the road was her biggest ghost hunting thrill.
She was introduced later by a family member to the local paranormal meet ups groups in Austin,Texas where she began meeting like minded people and going on informal investigations of small businesses,hotels,cemeteries and haunted bridges.
After several years in these groups she realized she could be doing so much more.Paula wanted to put her knowledge into action to help and share with others.She decided to start her own small meet up group and see where it went.In November of 2007 she founded Paranormal Researchers Of Central Texas (PRCT). After organizing several meetings,purchasing equipment and conducting a few investigations she was starting to feel more accomplished but she still wanted more.
In January of 2008, she was contacted by founder of Texas Spirits Paranormal Investigations a TAPS family team based out of Austin,Texas.He offered to help promote PRCT through his website to bring in more people who wanted to be a part of an active group.This did in fact bring in several more new aspiring Investigators.
In March 2008,Paula was offered a Director / investigator position for Texas Spirits where she is currently active today.PRCT has now merged with Texas Spirits team (TSPI) and Is now Texas Spirits Paranormal Research Team (TSRT) It's still going strong with over 100 members and counting.Paula is working hard as the director for both groups.
Paula is also an investigator trainee for TAPS family team ASUP(Capital Division).ASUP (Association For The Study Of Un-explained Phenomena) which has been around 35+ years and was founded by Rick Moran,the debunker for the Amityville Horror case.
She has attended several paranormal conferences and seminars,been on live Internet radio broadcasts,lead and organized countless investigations and other paranormal related functions.
Her current project is helping to build yet another Spirits Investigation team in the state of Tennessee with her friends and founders,Brian Henry and Brian Bolton.
Paula hopes Tennessee Spirits will eventually become part of the TAPS family so that they may help people in a larger vicinity of the state.Tennessee Spirits was formerly Paranormal Researchers Of Middle Tennessee (PRMT) sister group to Paranormal Researchers Of Central Texas (PRCT)
Paula Carrington has been trained and mentored by some of the most reputable and successful investigators and researchers around.She has worked with and is inspired everyday by some of the most renowned people in the paranormal field such as John Zaffis, the Godfather of paranormal,Rick Moran the Amityville Horror Debunker,and friend Brian Harnois from Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International,and many others who have helped her to get where she is today.
Paula is greatly respected in the paranormal community and has a bright future ahead.She believes in unity,team work and helping others through her constant hard work and dedication.She will continue striving to better know the unknown and find out if we really do cease to exist after the change called Death.
