Title: Liverpool Ghost Hunt
Description: Stanley Dock Liverpool L3 0AN 9th Of July 2008 Stanley Dock Tobacco Warehouse, (Stanley Dock, Liverpool, England) is a grade II listed building and is the world's largest brick warehouse. At the time of its construction in 1901 it was claimed to be the world's largest building. The 14 storey building spans across 26 acres and its construction used 27 million bricks, 30,000 panes of glass and 8,000 tons of steel. The overall design is by A.G. Lyster, the Dock Engineer, but Arthur Berrington almost certainly played a part. The warehouse was a late addition to the Stanley Dock complex and was built on land reclaimed from the dock. The dock could be entered from the dock system or by barge on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal which entered under Howard Street Bridge. With the decline of trade going through Liverpool the warehouse fell into disuse in the 1980's and gradually into disrepair. So what is the paranormal history of the docks? Well after our preliminary investigations and interviewing the staff our conclusions is this must be the most haunted location in the UK. The first area that we visited our mediums picked up on a gentleman who was less than happy with us, and why was we disturbing him and decided to make him self know by the over shadowing our medium and then trying to talk through them. A lady in Victoria clothing was seen walking around this area with a child which most mediums have picked up on and staff have seen but one of our Mediums asked to leave the room saying there was something evil here and they refused to return. If evil was present it was also unhappy about what had been done about the place and why was we there. One of the floors above, a spirit of a gentleman was seen a number of times on our visit walking around support posts and one of the staff on the same floor have allegedly had a hammer thrown at them while they were working on this floor. Footsteps heard and children are also seen on this here. The area which is used as a market place has still today a ring hammered to the floor where it is said that slave’s where chained while waiting to be sold. A gentleman was seen in the market place near to where a small merry go round was placed maybe enjoying the children playing. Out side between the two buildings spirit energy were felt quite a lot as we walked and the history of this area was quite macabre. Its said that people fell from the building and died some were even buried there how true that story is who knows. A staff member on his rounds did report as he was walking one evening to check the location he felt a sharp cold draft on the back of his neck, when he turned around quickly to see what it was, a lit church candle was floating behind him. Another part of the building was a store used for bodies which were waiting to be shipped back to America although during the 2nd world war, our mediums did not pick anything up in this area, but part of the floor had a wall built from end to end hiding at least 20 feet by 100 yards of possible space. What was stored behind this wall who knows but the section we stood at felt warm on a cold February day? Evp, orbs and shadows have all been seen and picked up on, on security cameras.
