Hello Everyone here at SC,
My birth-father, a retired orthopeadic surgeon, has been admitted to the hospital after having self-medicated for nearly two weeks on prescription pain pills and refusing to go to a doctor, of any kind ! It was just too much for my step-mom this morning after he collapsed on the floor so she got a wheelchair and took him by herself to the emergency room where they immediately admitted him.
He is 82, a survivor of prostate cancer, and one who feigns seeing doctors the most after having been one for so long. It is scary and sad because I live here in Ohio and we have been estranged and experiencing alot of tension over the years, him leaving now is not the right time, we have so much to say to one another.
What stands out the most with this news delivered early this morning is that he worked on people with bone disorders, traumatic injuries, and several other problems involving gait, spinal ambulation and regular movement. He set broken bones in his sleep, if he had too but now he is realizing the real pain his patients were in but where is his miracle ?
Need help with this one, as any of you who tap into their healing powers can send some reserve fumes this way, it would be much appreciated !
