I believe my house has spirits in it.. since we moved in 9 years ago we have had weird things happen...figures seen, strange noises like old adding machines and snoring, doors open and close, things moved, a smell that burns your nose like flowers and musk together, other smells like food cooking..I did set a recorder up one night ( kinda hard when you have a snoring husband... he's not the snorer we hear ) and got some weird noises..things I didn't hear myself eventhough they were when I was still awake. I did get a scratch I couldn't explain one day.. I was sitting at the computer and my arm started to burn..I looked and I had a scratch about 4 inches long under my right arm.. I have no idea where it came from.. Most of our friends know about the things that happen... I hesitate to tell people I don't know though... some laugh and say we're nuts but we are not making this stuff up... Just wanted to share a little of my experiences...
I am glad my blog encouraged you to post this. Since part of it used to belong to a funeral home that definitely a possibility for your experiences. But like you say, you dont know what was there before the houses. For myself, I always like checking into a house/property history! Its unbelievable how many things get forgotten or messed up when passed by word of mouth. Good luck with everything!
I was very interested in hearing your story. At least the people here won't think you're nuts. Have you ever done any research into the house? Do you know what might have happened there before or if it's built on burial grounds? Did the former occupants have promlems. There is defineately something going on there.
The only thing I know is part used to be part of an okd funeral home and was moved here around 50 years ago... there used to be a small neighborhood store on the lot after the first part was moved here. The house was built onto later. There have been two older men who lived here, on being my husbands grandfather, the other one was a family friend. We are in town and I have no idea what was here before the houses.
