Has anyone else ever heard that babies born with veil over their eyes is gifted with physic abilities??? Veil was considered a extra thin layer of skin over the baby's eyes that doctors would remove to expose the eyes. Some elders told me this many years ago and I just wanted to know if anyone else has heard or knows anything about this!!
Babies who are born with the veil over their eyes seems to be able to see dead people and things that we cannot and as Banshee pointed out- the veil is also worn out of respect for a love one's death. The veil seems to have a connection between the living and the dead!

Through many belief systems it is held that having been born with a veil is a sign of psychic abilities, good luck or a special destiny. Living in the South since a child, I've heard this many times especially from the older folks. Actually, I was born with this veil. What SC said makes perfect sense. When one sense diminishes, the others seem to be enhanced somewhat. This is the reason an unsighted person has an acute sense of hearing.
Yes, I sure do. I have a friend whose wife was born this way. Her parents noticed that she had phsycic abilities when she grw into a young gal. They were told by a Phsycologist that this is common w/ children born with a veil over their eyes as other mental senses kick in when the feius' eyes are not stimiltaed that a normal fetus experiences.
