I came across an odd article, which inspired me to research this topic

Many recipients of organ transplants, (hearts/lungs, liver, kidney) have reported significant personality changes – which in many cases, correspond to the traits of the organ donor. Could the donor’s personality, memories or consciousness remain within their tissue cells and be passed on to another human being?

Check out my article below

I would love to get your views

DIFFERENT DNA WOULD CAUSE THAT, BUT BY EVOLUTION WE LEARN TO ADAPT AND MUTATE AND CHANGE THE PATTERNS.

The concept is not too illogical since everyones DNA structure is slightly different therefore increasing or decreasing certain characteristics of personality based on a genetic component. Your link was very exciting that you offered, I 'll have to go back and check it out cause while in the comment box one can't leave and go click on a link because the comment box and its contents would not be there when I hit back . . .

Anyway, a few movies have been made by directors using the Hollywood spin on people being taken over by their 'body parts', a good one done in early 80's that always had me thinking there after, is that really possible? and it is you just have to go with your gut instinct.

Okay I read it and decided most of it is true but from a scientific standpoint, take away the facts, documents, proof and all you are left with is speculation that you can either believe or reject. I disagree with this statement particularly, "Many scientific papers assume that the seat of consciousness - the self, personality or soul - is located in the brain, along with short- and long-term memory"--with what I studied of Edgar Cayce and ken Wilber this statement does not ring true for me.

The brain is merely an organ which relays information back and fourth along synapses of the neurotransmitter responsible for being alert to the frequencies it is geared to 'pivk-up'. It is a myriad organ divided into two halves, each assigned to do different things BUT it has nothing to do with the mind, they are separate.

Brain=organ  mind=spirit, intellect and something else undefined or proven by scientific means, it just is . . .

I live in a city where the hospital here is the leading hospital for kidney, liver, intestinal transplants.  People from all over the world come here if they have to have transplants.  Last year, there was an artical in the hospital journal about just such a transference.  They actually kept track over a period of years with patients who experienced changes.
Mostly, kidney and intestinal  transplant patients experienced changes in their tastes for foods.  Like an older gentleman who absolutely hated vegetables his whole life, woke up from surgery craving cooked carrots.  Of course, the research was very thorough to back up the hypothesis, and the person with whom the donated organ came from loved vegetables, especially cooked carrots.  Since the identity is kept from the person who is receiving the transplant, there is no way for him to have known that, only the physicians doing the research. Of course there have been other documented changes where something was liked and then absolutely despised after transplant...works both ways and is heavily documented in the medical journals. The fact is, there are changes.

Those who have had heart transplants have experienced changes having to deal with emotions and a broad array of changes.
So, it was also mentioned then in the journal that different organs also assist in what kind of changes one might experience.

Of course medical science won't come right out and say "Hey, this is real and if you're going to get a transplant you might change your personality and likes and dislikes", but they are very aware of it and still continue to do research.
