Fox Valley Spirit Hunters
Anyone got any good Wisc ghost stories? Cases coming up? Anything new or interesting?
We may have a couple cases coming up locally, both with dark shadows and strange things going on. One is more intense than the other, at least at first look. Kids involved there so we have to hop on that one quickly but the other one may pan out interestingly as well.
Anyone know any details about possible weirdness at High Cliff Park in Calumet County? Also, anyone know any good stories about Devils Lake State Park near Baraboo? Every time I've been there, that place feels like it is full of energy. Assuming it's a sacred place in native American lore, maybe that's what is going on. Hmmm...

I was going to post a similar topic. I'm still pretty new to the area, and am trying to learn all the local ghost stories and haunts.
As far as cases go, we've got a follow up to a poltergiest case that we're working on.

What's interesting about this poltergeist case we're working on, Katie, is they're experiencing a lot of the same activity that Holly and Lea were reporting, like seeing shadow figures. Recently someone even saw that famous one with the top hat. My theory is that the shadows are projections of something from the subconscious, which is after all what's causing the RSPK. The agent may be looking for something to pin the activity on, and that's why so many people see the one with the top hat - it's an archetype of a villain.

Well I've never seen the one in a top hat, Matt, but I did see something like a shadow figure in an investigation we did a year and a half ago. Totally not expecting it and it didn't wear a hat. It zoomed (quite literally) across a living room bay window, apparently outside. I was looking directly at it when it happened. No cars going by could have gone that fast as the lane was far too narrow and the house was on a 90 degree curve. Investigators ran outside immediately to track it down but found nothing. So while your theory may hold true in some cases, I don't think it applied here because I was only present in the house for a few hours and certainly don't have a habit of seeing shadow beings where ever I go, so it wouldn't be my RSPK doing it. I suppose it could have come from the host, but as best as we can tell, she was asleep on the sofa at the time. Could RSPK be a factor when the agent for it is asleep?
