Oh wow.  I can't believe how many people told you to do it!  This woman is obviously unbalanced. She wants morbid attention. It's bizarr. If the request came from a close relative or friend, that would be different. This is some wacko stranger!  Forget her.  And for those of you who would take advantage of a sick woman for your own out of control curiousity, mentally ill or whatever she is, shame on  you.  Any serious investigator in the paranormal would draw the line here.

If you had read through our replies, we asked if he had been in touch with this woman and what he knew about her.  We didn't say go ahead do it now. Most of us suggested that he ask her a few more questions and to find out why she wanted this done.  How do you know she is unbalances?  Did you ask her?  Most of the replies here advised to get to know the woman and her intentions before accepting the job.

When people ask you if you will do research on their paranormal activities, do you tell them no right away?  Or do you find out more about them and the situation.  I hope you wouldn't turn down people just because you don't know them.  That's why you ask questions first, find out the details before you base your decision.  Any serious investigator would research before saying yes or no.
One more thing, it has been proven that people will have an easier time asking help from strangers when it comes to unusual requests.

Hmmm... As with any request to research a paranormal event there is always a chance the individual isn't exactly stable but death is a natural thing and some people are comfortable with the thought of their own death as everyone will die at some point whether we're ready to or not. I've worked in nursing homes and have been with several residents during their last days/moments - it really is interesting seeing those near the end respond to things that are not visible to our eyes. I think it would be a very interesting opportunity to be able to be present and ever-so-very-respectfully investigating a time when activity could occur whether it be from visiting spirits during the passing of a loved one or the 'birth' of a new spirit. I don't see it as bizarre at all as there would be very little paranormal research without death.

I fully understand any reason for you not wanting to agree to partake in this lady's wish however if it is truely genuine i would quite possibly do it myself.  As an ex nurse i have witnessed death and dying enough to cope with that situation. For many years i have felt, heard and seen  spirits and during my time nursing i encountered many of the clients i had cared for.

I feel this would be an amazing privilage though taking time to know this lady and to understand what is wanted is of primary importance I agree with the comments made by joanmarie, spirit and spiritprince but i do understand how strange it must be for you.

Take your time.

Blessings Lisa x
