Mack invites part of the LPI Team to visit the studio. We were under the impression that we would be prerecording an interview for later use, but much to our surprise we ended up going live that night.

The interview was a lot of fun and sharing our stories with people was great. We did get several calls from people who are experiencing paranormal activity but with the limited information we were given it was very hard to give any kind of advice but hopefully we will be able to go to the locations and investigate.

Ed shared some of his experiences in poltergeist research that he conducts and the evidence of unexplained moving objects we have collected so far.

Tatiana share the story of one of the EVP clips plaid on the air that said "sorry" to his mother for having passed away and all the trouble it cause her. 

Terri our team Public Relations Director explained some paranormal terms and phenomenon as well as what makes a false positive and what can bring about false results.

 Mack seemed to enjoy the stories but was slightly spooked by some of it. Especially Ed's description of his psychic attach where the spirits in the house gave him the sensation of being stabbed in the back. Actually feeling the blade go in does not agree with Mack's idea of a fun hobby.

Atena worked with the sound team cleaning up some EVP samples to play on the air.

For the most part it was serious but we did have fun. The Y100 team was very hospitable and showed us around the studio, not to mention bringing us chocolate chip cookies and home made brownies.

Y100  knows how to make friends.

Coconut Grove, FL - The Other Side
Being on the client side of a Paranormal Investigation.

This may not be news to you, but with risk of stating the obvious, I believe I live in a house that bubbling with paranormal activity. The activity here is what got me actively involved in the paranormal field.

As a psychic, I am also very sheltered in this home. Nothing really spooky is ever revealed to me, in fact I often hear my spirit guides assuring me that they will not allow anything here to spook me.

I am not easily spooked as a general rule. I will run faster from a roach on the wall then a spirt in the hall. With this said, I want to add that in my own home, I get spooked. Not because the things happening here are so scary. In fact they have been rather mild.

But more because this is my home. My shelter, my safe little next where I go to relax, let me guard down and not worry. It is my home and so if there is something here that I did not invite or was not aware of, it tends to spook me.

Before I was a professional paranormal investigator I have seen apparition and managed to take one single photograph with my camera before the battery got drained. when inspecting the photos I found nothing but an orb where the image of a little girl had previously been.

I have taken accidental orbs as well, one odd one when I was taking a picture of a display table I have been working on.

What makes it weird is the odd motion.

so after a few years of this, we decided it was time to have a professional team investigate. Since we had just formed our own group (the league of Paranormal Investigators, Inc.) this would a perfect opportunity to have us all work as a team.

I can honestly say that we were not prepared for the results we were presented with. Needless to say, myself and Ed were excused from the investigation as we were the clients.

We left our home in the capable hands of the League of Paranormal Investigators and our kitty Minou and went outside for a while.

We made due as best we could, starting off by sitting as quietly as we could in the front porch away from the action. This got old quite quick and we took advantage of our house being a short walk from the Coconut Grove Nightlife scene, and we went to a nice place on the bay and had a couple beers and did some people watching.

Minou (our cat) was allowed to remain present to watch over the investigation.

I noticed that while the investigation was in progress, I experienced a slew of thoughts and emotions from doubt, to worry to eager anticipation.

at first I thought I was convinced the team is sure to find lots of cool stuff as I have had so many cool experiences in the house and on the property. Then I realized that even though I had all these experiences, I have never been able to catch anything but orbs on find. My mind went back to the time I got my first recorder and would record for hours in the house awaiting EVP or audio evidence that never came.

Of course, ghosts don't make appointments. They run on their own schedule not ours so that added tot he what ifs.

Then I decided that if they don't catch anything them I am going to have to figure out why it is that I have these experiences. And Ed as well and what do we do about it? Is it just us? Are we agents? Are we imagining it?

No, no - That could not happen. Lets not be silly, two people cannot imagine the same thing at the same time. What is more, two people and a cat cannot be reacting to the same imagined experience at the same time in the same place. So that would not be right....

This went on and on until I decided that I would just determine that if they are done by midnight, it was probably a low activity day, and if it was done after midnight that of course all my doubt would be put to rest.

I got the call at 11:30, it was Bandora who was the team lead for the investigation asking me if we would like our house back. This did not put my mind at ease at all as you can imagine.

I was not able to get much information as the team was gathering their equipment and finishing their paperwork. We were only informed that we would be notified in a few days.

Then the wait started.

Having the unique position of being on the team I tried asking during team and corporate meetings and got little there as well. We were told that one of the new team members had their first experience at the site, which made me feel much better at first but ended up fueling the curiosity and anticipation.

It was a grueling five days till we received our report!

I have been on the other side of this experience, and I know how little time five days is when you are examining the evidence, but as a client it feels like an eternity.

The written report and CD revealed some interesting photography and audio evidence. No EVP or video showed positive for anything paranormal.
 

The psychic report said little about what was actually being communicated, perhaps there simply wasn't much. The most intriguing thing was the presence of one of my spirit guides reported in the bedroom. I would love to have seen a closer description of this energy as I have experienced this myself and would like the confirmation. The goal of the team however is not to entertain bur rather to find physical evidence to confirm the physical experiences we have reported.

This photograph shows an unexplained light on the investigators back.

In this one, there seems to a large amount of red light where there is no source for such light. It seems to be in front as well as behind Bandora while it is not affecting Terri or the rest of the room in the least.

This is the most intriguing of the pictures. It shows several light smears all headed in different and often opposite directions. There is a large white one moving tot eh left, two blue ones from top to bottom on right diagonal and a red one moving in an arch pattern across the door. There were no sources for these lights. I do not have anything that makes a white, red or blue light in this area. On the stove there is a green digital clock which ironically is in focus behind the large white streaks. There are additional smaller patterns of light swirling that are hard to see in this size, there is a dotted line that swirls and several faint yellow light lines as well.

This shows two investigators and our kitty in the living room. Odd white light on the table, behind and in front of Terri as she is communicating with her Pendulum, robert is taking recordings at this time. Minou is just cute.

 Bandora took a break from team lead to do some dowsing. She sensed an energy directly in front of her, at the same time her dowsing rods crossed, at the same time a photograph was taken. The orb appeared right at that time. This is the only photo in the evidence that showed an orb.

The audio evidence shows the creaking in the guest room that is often heard.

During an investigation unexplained noises were reported in the guest room. The knocking in the audio was captured by Investigator Robert who was asking questions with Team Lead Bandora who made additional suggestion.

We had previously experienced increased activity when a certain song was played. During the investigation the song was repeatedly played while the investigators remained very still, Robert recorded the now louder knocking sounds almost instantly.

But the evidence was not limited to what was happening inside the house. The back yard revealed a few interesting incidents as well...

That smudge of light behind Ashley's back has no physical source. This is a dark area of our yard with and not only there is no lighting in the back yard, whatever lighting there used to be no longer works.

This one is a little hard to clearly see, it is only a mist of red colored energy near the fence. I have often seen mists in the backyard but it has always been in the daytime, though I do not go there at night.
 

Our house was declared not haunted as there was not enough paranormal activity to prove a haunting, however we did receive a determination of a presence of "paranormal activity". A re-investigation was recommended.

I can hardly wait to do it again!!!!

And I want to thank the team members of the League of Paranormal Investigators, who spend so much time indulging our "spirit Guests" - The LPI team is the best team on the planet as far as I am concerned and I am honored to have them back anytime at our house. not to mention that I am so much more glad to be a member having been on the other side...

Central Florida Residence - The Lake House

The team I was investigating with had a very unusual case this past weekend.

There was a lot activity in the building and several people including me experienced a little hostility from the spirit beings residing there.

The spirits kept us constantly entertained with noises, sensations, cold spots, warm spots, moving objects and opening doors. That was all very well and the kind of thing we were hoping for.

What we were not expecting was the physical attacks on several investigators. One person felt stabbed in the back, while another almost passed out. Ironically the two of them were the most skeptical of the group.

I do not consider myself a skeptic, but I do tend to question everything. Even though I am psychic I look for physical proof. I think that is what makes me a good investigator. Well, I got something physical on this one as I was one of the people attacked.

I had the mildest attack from the three people affected, the experience was only affecting me mostly emotionally. It was a very strange experience. I am telling you this because I had the most educating experience so far in communicating with my spirit guide.

I was communicating with the friendly house spirits just fine directly while there, however after the attack I decided it would be best if I just talk to my spirit guide instead. He was most helpful in leading me to where I needed to be when something was just about to happen. In fact, I learned that my intuition was more accurate and the messages were clearer then had they been received directly.

Since the attack did not repeat, I believe from now on, this will be a safer way to proceed and seems to be pretty accurate. I will let you know how it goes.

I will tell you a little more about the experiences at another time, but the attacks were not the point of my writing today. Today, since this experience had blended the spiritual with the scientific mean to question the evidence.

Several pictures have been taken during the attack and after where I knew my spirit guide was very close to me. It is interesting that these pictures show an orb directly above my head, where I feel the strongest connection to my spirit guide. It makes me wonder if it in fact could me energy evidence of my trusted friend.

Then again, it makes you wonder, perhaps the orbs are not an effect of my friend at all but instead, side effects of the unfriendly energy that was trying to interfere.

I came to two very likely theories...

Since the orb seems to be most concentrated at the time during the attack when I was actively asking for help, it could be when my guide was working the hardest. Theory two would be it is evidence of the hostile energy and not my guide at all. This is of course taking the point of view that orbs are in fact a residual or visible form of supernatural activity - which has not yet been proven.

Later that evening when feeling threatened but not affected by another unfriendly boogie man the energy once again appeared above my head, however, this time it was much more faint, but larger. This leads me to believe that perhaps it was my guide standing guard, or it was the energy trying to get in but not succeeding as I was more protected and it was weaker.

I am curious what the reader thinks.

Since this experience I have gone through some much needed healing but the strong connection I made with my spirit guide remains to this day, and I would say is even getting stronger. I wanted to share this with you because even though it did not seem all that great at the time, it turned out to be a really wonderful experience in the long run.

It is an excellent example that all things happen for a reason and even if you are not experiencing what you think you would like to at the moment, something good always come out of it in the end!

St. Augustine, FL - Investigators on Vacation

Where would a bunch of paranormal investigators go for a weekend getaway?

Why, someplace old with a reputation for being haunted. How about America's oldest city, St. Augustine, FL.

A bunch of us decided to get away for the holiday weekend in march so we packed in to the car and headed north. A short five hours later we arrived at what might as well be another world. Beautiful and historic St. Augustine, FL is one of my favorite getaways.

The plan was to see the sights, take in a tour and relax on the bay in a place that is as far away from the day to day as you can get for a weekend trip. This was the plan anyway.

The first thing we had planned was a tour of Henry Flagler's most extravagant resort, the prestigious Ponce de Leon Hotel, now turned Flagler College.

Even though we arrived almost an hour early for the tour, the architecture and lavish decadence immediately prompted us to pull out our cameras and begin taking pictures.

Almost right away we noticed something unusual. Unusually bright orbs had our attention. When they started responding to commands it really got our attention.

This was our first guest, The photograph above was taken by Yolanda showing an unusually bright orb near the third floor of dome ceiling. What makes this orb unusual is the brilliant and clear light it emits. It was pretty cool, but as investigators, we tend to take orbs with a bit of skepticism.

What was unusual is when we went to a quiet corner before the crowd started to gather. I sat for a while and psychically tuned in to the enrages there. It seemed full of energies that walked the main lobby at all times. One would respond to my call though. It was the energy of what seemed to be a middle-aged woman, she had others with her but was the one clearly in charge. I did not get the chance to communicate very clearly with her - it was more of a response to directions. I took several pictures as things were happening and told my friends what I was experiencing.

When we first sat down there was nothing. I took this picture of the view I had. In the following photographs I will zoom in a little so you can see more clearly. But you will notice my position did not change and there was no crowd there to be stirring up dust.

Then I felt the energy approaching from the main lobby.

I asked it to come closer.

I told my friends it is right in front of us now, ant took this picture.

Events such as this make me question orbs more seriously. Yes it could be dust or moisture, but why is this dust or moisture responding to me?

When the crowd began to arrive the energy dissipated. I do not think they like big crowds so they left. Ironically, we took lots of picture of the beautiful building yet I had no more psychic impressions and no additional orbs showed up. Even though we were around some very dusty rooms with a big crowd that kicked up a lot ot dust. The only paranormal activity we encountered on the tour was us acting silly!

I am not saying that orbs are spirits. I think they may be a residual energy that results from spirit activity, similarly to a cold spot, a cold spot is not a spirit, it is an indication of possible spirit activity.

And not all orbs are paranormal, there is a great deal of dust and moisture orbs, they usually look different. They have weird shapes and angles or a clear nucleus or no jet at all. If you ask me, the topic of orbs is still up to debate.

This happens to me again and again. I go in to dusty dirty places with no spirit activity and get no orbs. The minute I make contact, all of a sudden the photographs taken show orbs. Not only do they show orbs at random, but they show orbs exactly where I am sensing the energy to be.

Even people who are not tuned in to their psychic abilities can test this theory. If you feel like you are being touched or pushed, have someone take a picture. If your EMF goes off, take a picture. Most of these pictures will show an orb exactly in the right spot. I will have more on this later...

I want to share with you the rest of my vacation now...

After the lavish ladies lounge and the dining hall adorned with tiffany lamps, glass and gilded ceilings we walked around the city. We went antique shopping and walked all the way down to the bay past the bridge of lions, on one side, and the fountain of youth on the other side.

Our room at the St. George Inn overlooks the old spanish town and st. George Street. This beautiful place was originally recommended to me by Bandora, who visits St. Augustine so much, she should be made an honorary resident. The beautiful hotel is right on the main walking street, unfortunately though, very not haunted from my experience.

In the evening we took in a ghost tour, there is a man we knew from our last visits named Harry C. Sanfford who runs the best ghost tour in St. Augustine that he calls the Paranormal Investigative Tour. The storytelling style tours seem to be abundant and perhaps more popular. You will see lots of them as the sun sets with various themes, from pirates, to hearses and even wenches and monks will lead a tour. But nothing compares to Harry's walking tour. It is an in-depth experience for novices and experienced investigators alike. He keeps groups small and provides a wealth of information. Before any details are revealed, he will want you to investigate each site on your own, then he will tell you the history and best of all, he gives you gadgets to play with which is always a thrill for first timers.

The only anomaly I got that was not an orb on the night we took the tour was a strange light above the sign marking the Tolomato Cemetery.

The control photo shows no such anomaly. Also, notice in both pictures the sign itself is sharp and perfectly in focus.

The rest of the pictures are mostly of orbs accompanied by other events.

During Harry's introduction, I kept feeling an energy moving in the back of the courtyard. When I took the photo shown above, the distinctively yellow orb appeared.

Harry dazzled us with his album of paranormal evidence and then we went back to the cemetery where we noticed a paranormal group named POPS was conducting a training session.

We talked to the team and exchange stories. They are based out of port orange and conduct investigations of historic places all over the country.  A really nice group of people.

We finally got home at around one in the morning.

All in all, St. Augustine left us with the escape we were looking for. We learned something about ourselves though. At least I did. Being a paranormal investigator is not a job. It is part of you, something that circulates through your veins and fuels your drive to seek out the unexplained. Even when on a vacation we find ourselves knee deep in the search.
