This happened a few years ago when my family and I were stationed in Germany. We lived in a 4 story apartment building which had 24 separate apartments. Ours was on the first floor, the second and third floors were vacant, and there was a family on the fourth floor. My wife was up late one night working on homework when some creepy sounds starting coming from the empty apartment above. What sounded like a marble was dropping onto the floor was rolling around. This continued for a while until she realized that no one lived there. She instantly became creeped out and continued her homework in the living room. The marble sounds from above followed her throughout the entire apartment!  Needless to say, she was done for the night and went to bed. My wife is what you could call a sensitive. She is very aware of “feelings” in an environment. During our stay in Europe she continued to experience strange and creepy things.
