I had an investigation over the weekend, and as we were packing up to leave, we flipped on the lights and the emf detector went off. I had the cell censor with the probe ( set to HI), sitting on a table. The lights were recessed lighting, in a vaulted ceiling, probably 15-20 feet above us. I tried my Kll Meter, and that also went off (into the yellow range which I believe says 2.5-10miligaus). There were several banks of lights, and it only happened when we turned on the second bank. The owner said he thought they were the new compact flouescent bulbs. We were standing a good 4 feet from the wall switches.. Is it normal to get such readings from these type of bulbs? And if so.. Im thinking this could be causing a one of the things they are experiencing. The kids say they always feel 'creeped out' on the stairs that go up to the loft where their rooms are, especially at night when they have to come down and turn off the lights.
Anyone else know about these lights and if this emf reading is too high for something like this?
Thanks for any help!
Its nice to see so many familiar and friendly faces! Thanks to Vicky for sending me the link to her page, causing me to check out the site and join up! I know some of you from other sites, and look forward to meeting new people here as well.
For those of you who don't know me, I am the founder of the newly created group Central Wisconsin Paranormal Research. I started this group about 6 months ago after being with another group for a while. I just wanted something closer to home and had a few people in the area who wanted to get involved as well.
We have investigated a local hotel so far and have a few more in the works. Previous to this group I have investigated places like Waverly Hills, Eastern Cemetery, a little bit in Savannah GA.. and usually have my camera and a recorder AT LEAST when we go anywhere thats possibly haunted.
So, Im glad to be here.. and look forward to meeting more of you!
Thanks again for the warm welcome!
