I know I should have done this before but it has taken me a while to sort it, as I am not on the computer as much as I would like!
Anyway here is installment 1 from the beginning!
I lived in a house that was built to house the workers of local mills etc, it was a gable end, and backed onto the local Canal!
anyway when I was about 5 i had a "friend" she had been around with me for along time and we would play! this was no normal invisible friend, made up because I had lots of friends was quite popular. Anyway this friend never left the house I was in, I didn't make meal arrangements at the table for her, she was just there sometimes, and we would speak about things.... she was about 6 years old had a blueish tinge to her features and long blonde hair, she was very pretty and wore a powder blue dress, not of the era.
Once when she appeared I was sat at the bottom of the stairs and began to speak to her, my Mum was in the kitchen, when she heard me speaking to her she became very aggitated and shouted at me to stop talking to her as there was no one there, I haddn't realised no one else could see her!
Another time I was at the top of the stairs (Which were very steep) and she came to me and asked if I wanted to fly! I said yes and she held my hand and we flew down the stairs, 3 steps from the bottom my Mum passed the stair case and she let go of my hand and I fell the remaining 3 steps laughing cos it was fun going down the stairs like that, Mum couldn't understand why I was laughing when she was sure I had just fallen the full flight of steps!
Another thing that got me was her name, She explained that she had died of flu years before! so I called her Fluey.... but I am not sure of her real name! Everytime I think about her I think of a Rebecca!
Anyway shortly after I was 5 we moved from the house to a farm.... I never forgot her, and even now when I pass the house I wonder if she is still there!
Part 2.......
When I was about 9 my parents split up and I went to live with my mother in a council house about 5 miles away from where my dad was.
on the 1st night in the new house my mum was decorating the landing and I was laid in bed listening to the radio, as I always struggle to sleep the 1st night in new places... anyway The lights were off in my room and the bedroom door was open about a foot, as I also had a major fear of the dark, looking about, I was drawn to look at the foot of the bed, no idea why... and standing there was a man wearing a checked shirt, and a waistcoat, and brown trousers but I was unable to see below his knees because of the bed, but what sruck me as very odd barring the fact a strange man was stood in my room was the fact that he had no eyes only empty eyesockets.... that made me scream... he looked at me lookedat the wall and looked at me again then dissapeared moving towards the window opposite the door.
On hearing my screams my mum ran in, and when I told her she didn't believe me, and said it was a night mare... but I knew I was not asleep!!!!
later on when we had been there a while my mum then re-married had arguments with my new stepdad, and I would sit in my room crying... one night I was sat on my bed and one of these arguments was going on and I felt the bed move beside me and a warm feeling come round my shoulders like someone had just sat down and put their arm round me. I felt better but when I looked no one was there!!!
strangly I didn't feel scared, I wasn't threatened in any way. It was lovely.....
