Our secret to all of our wonderful evp's is "White Noise". It is played in the room WHILE recording.
You can actually hear it in all the evps. They COULD be cleaned up but we do NOT edit our audio.
Its an authenticity thing we believe in. Just play it. You dont overwhelm your recorders.
We will typically start playing in ALL rooms when we arrive at the investigation site.
I have 2 analog recorders, and 2 cd players dedicated to this. On the analog recorders we simply played it on the laptop,
used a cord to output from the headphone plug to the mic plug and record it on the tapes.
Then simply go into the areas and start asking questions. It may take a lil practice to get the volume levels right.
Remember not too loud, You dont want to drown yourself, but yet want it to be heard.
We found once we starting using it we typically dont even need headphones anymore when reviewing the audio.
It just "POPS" out at us. WOW... There it is. There are several things that can be used for white noise.
Some are basically in every house. A fan, running water, a radio turned to static, or a tv turned to static staions.
These are all forms of white noise. White noise can also be purchaced on cd's online or small files downloaded.
